Computer Science 1 Advanced
Learn to think in logic and build things that run. This survey course takes you from visual programming tools to real languages, covering data types, conditionals, loops, arrays, functions, and object-oriented design along the way. You will spend the year solving problems by hand and in code, building the foundation for AP Computer Science A. Whether or not you continue in the sequence, you leave knowing how software actually works.

Foundations of Cybersecurity
Learn how systems get broken, and how they get defended. This yearlong course covers implementing and monitoring security across networks and computer systems, identifying real threats like hackers, eavesdropping, and network attacks, and the ethics and laws that govern them. Every unit connects to something happening in the news right now. It's the first step toward CompTIA Security+ and the entry point to the cybersecurity pathway.

Cybersecurity Capstone
Go deep and get certified. Capstone moves you into cyber law and policy, command line interfaces, Linux, networking technology, risk assessment, cryptography, and the tools professionals actually use. You practice a wide range of skills in a safe environment while building the historical context behind the field, and you finish the year prepared to sit for the CompTIA Security+ certification exam.

Practicum in Cybersecurity
Do the work for real. This two-credit capstone allows you to develop your skills at an approved training site under supervision. You get to apply everything you built across the pathway where real people depend on it being done right. You'll explore cybersecurity careers, college programs, and assemble a professional portfolio. Confidentiality, conduct, and follow-through are part of the grade, because in this field they're part of the job.

Money Matters
Money Matters is the class where the math finally has your name on it. You'll analyze real financial decisions against real economic conditions: what to do with a paycheck, how debt actually works, when to start investing, and how to build a plan that holds up over decades. The course covers banking, income, saving, insurance, budgeting, consumer skills, career planning, and the economics behind private enterprise, then puts it to work on the goals you set for yourself. Students in this class are also eligible to join DECA and compete at the district, state, and international level.
